TDM, Di An, Thuan An and Bau Bang marks 40th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification

Early April 25, TDM city grandly held a ceremony to mark the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2015) and the 125th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2015).

Attending the ceremony were Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Tran Van Nam, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Tran Van Loi, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee; revolutionary veterans, including former leaders of the city over periods, heroic Vietnamese mothers…

 

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the historical victory of April 30, 1975 and the heroic tradition of Vietnam’s army and people during the two struggles against French colonialism and American imperialism. Upholding this tradition, the local Party, government and people have always joined hands to building up a more civilized and beautiful TDM city. Along with the local urbanization process, the city’s economy has been maintained a high growth with the average level of more than 26% a year in the 2010-2014 period.

The city also paid more attention to education, healthcare, and socio-cultural sectors with many results done over the past time. So far, the city has had no poor households under the central poverty line. The average income per capita of the local people by the end of 2014 was VND74.3mln.

On this occasion, the city’s Party Committee also awarded the 60, 55 and 50-year Party membership insignias to 5 Party members.

*Early April 25, Di An town grandly held a ceremony to mark the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day, in attendance of Nguyen Minh Giao, Head of provincial Party Committee Commission for Education and Propaganda together with revolutionary veterans and heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People’s Armed Force and 1,800 people representing people from all strata and armed forces in the city.

At the ceremony, leaders of Di An town said that the town’s army and people made contributions to the two struggles against French colonialism and American imperialism, contributing to the nation’s complete victory…

With its favorable geographical position plus an open investment climate and people’s diligence and creativeness, Di An town has absorbed thousands of domestic and FDI projects, generating jobs for thousands of laborers, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

The town will further improve more comprehensively and powerfully; uphold the strength of national great unity bloc, flexibility and creativeness and mobilize all resources to promote the local economic structure shift and urban infrastructure; effectively deal with shortcomings to improve the quality of people’s lives; maintain the local political security, social order and national defence-security.

* Thuan An town, on April 25, held a get-together to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Thuan An’s army and people during the cause of national liberation. The town has become one of the province’s localities with considerable evolution in all aspects after 40 years of construction and development.

Also on this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the excellent emulation banner to Thuan An town. There were 2 Party members conferred the 55-year Party membership insignias; 1 individual awarded the third-class Labor Medal; 2 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee.

*The same day, Bau Bang district grandly held a get-together to mark the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s army and people during the resistance wars for national liberation. After one year of development, the district reached an economic growth of 14.2%. The local economic structure was shifted in the right direction with 54.4% in industry, 26.1% in services and 19.5% in agriculture. The average income per capita of the local people was VND34mln and the ratio of the local poor households reduced to 1.24%.

The district’s Party Committee also awarded the 30, 40 and 50-year Party membership insignias to 11 Party members.
