Thu Dau Mot City marks the 85th year of establishment of Communist Party of Vietnam

Early January 30, Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City solemnly organized the anniversary of 85^th year of establishment of Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) from February 3, 1930 to February 3, 2015. Along with the celebration, titles of 65-, 55-, and 50-year-old Party members, Vietnamese Heroic Mother, and People’s Armed Force Hero of Thu Dau Mot Commando in the resistance war against the US were made. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee and all-time leaders of the locality.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Loi of Provincial Party Committee Standing Board and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee affirmed the cornerstone establishment of CPV in the people’s revolutionary cause. The outcome was thanks to the inevitable process of combining Marxism-Lennism with patriotism in Vietnam. For the glorious tradition of the CPV, through years, Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee, Authority, and public have made endeavours to gain major achievements in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense and security.

Accordingly, in 2014, economic growth of the city reached for 25.1% a year with economic transition to trade, services, industry, and agriculture. Live hood of local people has been improved as poverty ratio has been on declination of 1% year on year. Currently, on 939 households are considered as households in poverty under new criteria of the province. Technical and social infrastructure of the city has been harmoniously developed. The movement of “learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings” has been shaped up in form. Particularly, the Prime Minister, in 2014, signed approval of Thu Dau Mot City as the type 2 urban area.

On the occasion, Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee held ceremony to entitle Vietnamese Heroic Mother to 21 mothers while celebrating the People’s Armed Force Hero title of Thu Dau Mot Commando in resistance war against the US and 65-, 55-, and 50-year-old titles to 65 veteran and revolutionist Party members.
