From 2009 to March 2014, Thuan An town’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) mobilized organizations, enterprises and donors to build and hand over 208 great unity houses worth more than VND5.7bln to needy people.

The town’s FFC also mobilized more than VND3.5bln from the campaign of the “Day for the Poor”. In addition, the town’s FFC mobilized the local people to support more than VND2.1bln together with many other neccesary commodities for people hit by natural disasters.

During the period, the town’s FFC and its membership organizations continued speeding up loan support programs for the poor, including those of helping poor households get loans on credit from the local credit fund, branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, other many bank branches and mass organizations’ support funds. As a result, as many as 46,779 households got nearly VND21bln in loan to develop home based business.
