To take good care of people with meritorious services

On Jan 21st, Provincial People's Committee held a sum-up conference of policy implement to people with meritorious services over period 2013-2020. Attending the conference was Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committe; and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

According to report of provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the province has more than 64 thousand people recognized and entitled to this preferential regime. Among them, there are 2,212 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers (currently 46 Mothers alive); 16,755 martyrs; 5,051 wounded; 1,500 people helping the revolutionary. Currently, the province is paying monthly subsidies to over 7,900 beneficiaries, with the amount of over VND 14.1 billion per month (funded by the Central budget).

In parallel with guidelines and policies of the State, Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents and plans for the policy implementation. Namely, the province implemented policy and subsidized over 12,900 people with meritorious services; organized concentrated nursing and nursing at home for 26,734 people, with a total cost of over VND 39.5 billion; annually, organized trips for policy people with total expenditure of more than VND 2 billion funded by provincial budget. In addition, the work of housing care, mobilizing the whole population to help people with justice, family policies are well implemented.

Nguyen Loc Ha requested departments, branches and local authorities to review and take good care of families of people with meritorious services in the coming time. To strictly handle acts that make false documents, strictly comply with the State's undertakings and policies for people with meritorious services...
