Urban construction in Di An town to gain many important results

Four years after implementing Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU dated 18 Aug 2015 of Di An town Party Committee and urban development programs, urban face of the town is gradually formed in the direction of civilization with synchronous technical infrastructure, social infrastructure; The quality of people’s lives is heightened. This result creates a motivation for building Di An as a city directly under the province and class-two urban area before 2020.

Investment in synchronous infrastructures

Nguyễn Thành Tài, Chairman of Di An town People's Committee, said that immediately after Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU dated 18 Aug 2015 of the town Party Committee had been issued, the town Party Standing Committee directed to set up programs and plans for the implementation of this resolution. In addition, the town Party Committee focused on the development of breakthrough programs, including Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU on 7 Jun 2016 on "Urban Development of Di An in 2016-2020 period and towards 2025”; Action Program No. 08- CTr/TU dated 11 Jun 2016 on "Developing high-quality trade and services combined with industrial and urban development in the direction of civilization and modernity in 2016-2020 period, towards 2030”; Action Program No. 10- CTr/TU dated 28 Jun 2016 on "Improving the quality of human resources in Di An town, 2016-2020, towards 2025".

With the goal to build Di An town as a city directly under the province and class-two urban area before 2020, in recent years, the town People's Committee has performed house management for urban planning. Accordingly, the town basically finished adjusting the general planning of Di An urban area till 2040; making and approving 1/2000 zoning plan of wards; preparing, submitting for approval and application of land use planning in the first period of 2016-2020, annual land use plan, regulations on architectural management of town construction.

The town adjusted the zoning plan of Di An and Dong Hoa wards; is amending zoning plan of remaining wards. The town leadership also approved the detailed planning of urban development areas, cultural and physical training and sports centers, residential areas and commercial areas; synchronously invested in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, upgraded transportation system, water supply and drainage system ... to improve urban infrastructure.

Regarding mid-term public investment work in 2016-2020 period, the town carried out 151 urban technical infrastructure projects, with a total capital of VND 1,223,248 billion. Up to now, 62 works have been put into use, 30 projects are under construction, 59 projects are taking steps to execute in 2 years from 2019 to 2020.

Regarding social, health, education infrastructures, the town invested in green park clusters, 5,000-seat stadiums, 5 schools... Besides, material facilities, machines and equipment of health sector also received good investment, creating favorable conditions for socialization.

To strive to complete class-two urban criteria

These accomplishments both formed a new face and helped Di An become a class-three urban area according to the Town Party Resolution tenure 2015-2020 and advance to class-two urban criteria.

Accordingly, in the coming time, the town will continue to set out development policies and policies suitable to Di An urban area in each period. The town ensures economic development combined with social security, environmental protection, implementation of urban civilized lifestyle; In which, focusing on building the town to become a city directly under the province and ensuring the completion of class-two urban criteria as planned.

Up to now, the town has fulfilled 53/59 criteria and basically achieved class-two urban. The town leadership is directing the implementation of the unfulfilled targets. Mr. Tài affirmed that in the coming time, the Town People's Committee would drastically direct the construction inspection and synchronous performance of plans, especially public investment, land management, construction, urban order, land compensation, and implementation of projects. Besides, the town continues to mobilize maximum resources to invest in developing synchronously, gradually modernizing the socio-economic infrastructure system; take advantage of its potential in the socio-economic development process.
