Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association strengthens solidarity

Friendship on Vietnamese land

The Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association will act as a bridge to further boost ties between Binh Duong and Laos’ Champasak province. Tran Van Du, vice director of Dau Tieng Rubber Company cum secretary of the company party committee, said “In the past Vietnam and Laos had close ties and now have a close cooperation on economic development. This proves a unity between Vietnam and Laos. Establishment of the association affirms a special love of Binh Duong people for Laotian people”.

At present, many Vietnamese people are living and working in Laos. Specifically, a cooperative project of rubber tree cultivation between Dau Tieng Rubber Company and Champasac province has been under good progress.

Building and development

The association’s activities have been concretized by significant deeds. Accordingly, in the first congress of 2011-2016, the association will implement key tasks including acceleration of foreign affairs in line the State and province’s instructions, organization of friendship activities on anniversaries of Laos and so on.

“We will focus on developing more members for the association. If having advantages in the future, we will set up Vietnam-Laos friendship sub-societies at grassroot levels”, said Du.

The provincial Fatherland Front Committee vice chairman Nguyen Tan Loc, assessed “Establishment of the association has contributed to remind tradition and affirm tie between Vietnamese and Laotian people. The association will hold significant events to help members exchange and learn mutually”.

In addition, the establishment of the association has created a very significant milestone between Vietnam and Laos, proceeding the past, present and even future of the two nations.
