VND40bln mobilized to take care of needy people

Provincial Red Cross Society has just organized a conference to partially sum up its activities in Q1 2016.

Reportedly, the society and its affiliates mobilized organizations, individuals to offer help of more than VND40bln to disadvantaged people. Particularly, they presented 49,860 gifts to poor households, Agent Orange victims, orphans, lonely elderly people and needy policy beneficiary households in and out of the province; helped 4,873 needy cases under the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”; gave support on loans, nurslings and breeding animals for 5,936 officials, members; joined hands with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s charity board and provincial Union of Friendship Organizations to give 300 gifts for people in Cambodia’s Kandal province…
