Welcoming Christmas in peace, joy and thrift

At Bung Church in Thuan An town, flowers and decorated lights are hung everywhere whilst stone caves at Lai Thieu Church are decorated impressively. Priest Ha Van Minh, secretary of Phu Cuong bishop's office, said parishioners at Phu Cuong, Bung Church and so on are welcoming Christmas lively and joyfully. The parishioners have shared difficulties with the poor by charity meals and gift visits amid jubilant ambience of Christmas.    Many routes are decorated luxuriously.

Phu Cuong Bishop’s Humanity Committee has mobilized parishioners to involve in movements of gratitude repayment, gift visits, scholarship granting and among others for the needy with the total value of over VND4bil.

At present, ambience of welcoming Christmas has taken place jubilantly amid great attention from local authorities. Especially, local party committee, People’s Council and Committee and Fatherland Front Committee have held many congratulatory visits to churches across the province.

Pham Van Canh, chairman of the local Fatherland Front Committee, said “local parishioners always live with the motto of “For everyone” and involves in social activities for the community. Over years, local parishioners have contributed to local industrialization and modernization. I urge local parishioners to continue upholding patriotic spirit and emulation movements in combination with the mobilization of “All-people unite to build cultural life in residential areas” and uphold further moral and religious values”.
