With the purpose of calling for youth in the province and mobilizing people to join hands to ensure traffic safety, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have increased, diversified propaganda activities and programs in the community.

Volunteering for traffic safety

In recent years, having good awareness of the role, position and importance of traffic culture in social life, provincial Youth Union has actively propagandized and educated Youth Union members to obey regulations on traffic safety. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have established more than 110 volunteer youth squads on traffic safety instruction. In addition, there have been propaganda activities through contests to learn about the Road Traffic Law, criticizing traffic safety violations, contributing to raising young people’s awareness of traffic safety.

In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have actively coordinated with relevant units to build models on traffic safety order in residential community in line with specific conditions of each locality and unit. Through the project "Raising legal awareness for young people in Binh Duong province", there have been many propaganda contents about traffic safety implemented at schools, lodging facilities in businesses, greatly contributing to traffic safety propaganda among children, Youth Union members and workers.

Every year, in response to the Traffic Safety Month, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee cooperates with provincial Traffic Safety Committee to organize the "Youth with traffic culture" festival, promoting the campaign "Youth with traffic culture". The great efforts and determination of the Youth Union - Associations will create an effect to attract the participation of young people and spread actions in the community to ensure traffic safety.

Joining hands in propaganda

Recently, at the park of Di An city, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has coordinated with provincial Traffic Safety Committee to organize the 2022 "Youth with traffic culture" festival, with the participation of more than 800 Youth Union members. During the festival, Tran Bao Lam, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union launched the "Youth with traffic culture" campaign among Youth Unions at all levels and Youth Union members while organizing activities to sign commitments in response to the campaign among Youth Union branches. At the festival, the organizers disseminated the Road Traffic Law in 2022; held a parade on propaganda, an exhibition of propaganda paintings on culture and traffic safety; guided how to drive safely; organized a game to learn about traffic safety for Youth Union members…

Actively implementing the 2022 "Youth with traffic culture" campaign, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union organized an extra-curricular class on traffic safety propaganda for Youth Union members and students at Le Loi high school. The district’s Youth Union awarded a chibi model on traffic safety propaganda placed at the school gate with the slogan of "A sense of traffic, million happy smiles". In addition, the school's Youth Union members and students also participated in extracurricular classes and were propagandized the Decree No.100/2019/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of road and railway traffic, the Law on Prevention and Control of harmful effects of alcohol and beer; had an opportunity to learn about traffic signs… Simultaneously, the district’s Youth Union organized an online contest on “Learning about the Law on Road Traffic”…

Traffic safety propaganda activities have always been improved by provincial Youth Unions at all levels, with creation and practicality in real life. The Youth Union branch of Di An city’s Land Fund Development Center has just coordinated with the Youth Union branch of the Construction Project Management Board of the National University of Ho Chi Minh city to carry out a youth work with 15 traffic safety propaganda boards. The propaganda boards with the content of "Compliance with Traffic Law - Contributing to building civilized and safe cities" are fixed at traffic signal light and power poles at key intersections to educate people on traffic safety.

Traffic safety propaganda festivals have been widely held among the local Youth Union branches. The Youth Union branch of Uyen Hung ward in Tan Uyen town has just coordinated with the ward’s Police Agency to organize a festival "Youth with traffic culture" at Le Thi Trung Secondary School. Accordingly, the ward’s young people and students were disseminated about traffic safety and order in the ward and town; learnt the Law on Road Traffic, causes and risks of traffic accidents. On the other hand, they also learnt about age regulations for using electric motorbikes, electric bicycles, mopeds and regulations on administrative sanctions when violating traffic safety order.

These programs helped the local Youth Union members raise awareness and promote propaganda so that people always raise their awareness of building cultural and civilized behavior when participating in traffic for traffic safety, for a better life.
