Binh Duong authority meets foreign diplomat missions

In the evening of January 10^th, local Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting with foreign diplomat missions. Attending the event was Tran Van Nam, the member of Central Committee of CPV cum Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Head of Provincial NA Delegation, Tran Thanh Liem, the Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, leaders of central foreign relation agencies, consulate generals, trade affairs, and enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, departments, sectors, districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City as well as representatives of enterprises operating in Binh Duong Province.

The meeting was a special event showing gratitude to the support and sentiment presented by international friendship with Binh Duong Province through the years while boosting cooperation and ties with diplomat representing agencies, economic and foreign trade organizations, promoting foreign relations to service local socio-economic development. At the meeting, local leaders reported on socio-economic development of the province in 2016 as well as orientation, decisions, and policies of the province in improving foreign trade and investment promotion. Accordingly, investment luring into Binh Duong Province should be assisted and supported by diplomat missions and foreign enterprise associations.

Addressing the meeting, Tran Thanh Liem, the Deputy Chair of Provincial Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, said: “Two thousand and six has been a year of success in Binh Duong Province regarding various diplomatic events. The province authority has received various international guests and senior diplomat delegation as well as large enterprises and economic groups on their working visit to Binh Duong Province. In 2016, we have organized 2 stages of investment certificate issuing to 47 foreign enterprises with total investment of US$ 1.46 billion. We have organized 4 talks with over 300 foreign investors to listen to their wishes and timely resolve obstacles for them to expand business operations locally.”

The Provincial People’s Committee Chair affirmed: “To maintain and improve development of Binh Duong Province in civilized, modern, and sustainable manner for 2017 and the years after next, local authority shall improve investment environment and apply more flexible policies of attracting investments. Binh Duong shall particularly be developed into a smart urban area. To gain such achievement, local authority, by promotion of its internal forces, wishes to gain support and assistance of diplomat missions to expand its cooperation and exchange in the field of economics, science, technology, culture, society, education, and training.”
