North Tan Uyen’s first voluntary blood donation campaign of 2017 absorbs 300 participants

North Tan Uyen district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology-Blood Transfusion Center held the first voluntary blood donation campaign of 2017.

The campaign absorbed nearly 300 participants, including officials, civil servants, Youth Union members and laborers. As a result, the organizers collected 240 units of blood, equivalent to 84,000 milliliters of blood.

The district’s target of voluntary blood donation is to reach 1,000 units of blood. The district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has also planned to organize 4 voluntary blood donation campaigns to obtain this target.
