Successful operation performed on 2 pregnant women as F1 cases in quarantine area

On 4 June, medical team of Thuan An City Medical Center successfully performed operations on 2 pregnant women, who were F1 cases related to the recently recorded F0 case in Binh Quoi B quarter, Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An city.

The two pregnant women gave birth to a 3-kg boy and a 3.5-kg girl. During the cesarean section, the medical staff strictly followed the epidemic prevention process. Immediately after the successful operations, Director of Thuan An City Medical Center gave a reward of 2 million VND to the medical staff who successfully performed the operation.

Doctor Huynh Thi Nguyet Phuong, Director of Thuan An City Medical Center said: During the operation, all medical staff showed their high spirit of responsibility and successfully performed the operations. The medical center then arranged a separate area for mothers and babies to ensure the epidemic prevention. 

In addition, among F1 cases in this quarantine area, there was an 91-year-old woman with underlying diseases, hemiplegia, diabetes. The center determined that this was a very difficult case; the worst situation could be she be positive for COVID-19 infection. Therefore, the medical center set up a screening area, temporarily isolated suspected cases to initially deal with persons having symptoms such as fever, cough, etc.
