15th anniversary of Binh Duong province’s re-establishment

In the evening of Dec. 31, 2011, Binh Duong solemnly held the 15th anniversary of Binh Duong province’s re-establishment (Jan. 1, 1997-2011) to honor typical businesses and entrepreneurs and to welcome New Year 2012 with the participation of the State President Truong Tan Sang, former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, heroic mothers and leaders inside and outside of the province.

On behalf of local leaders, the provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung tracked back great achievements that the provincial party committee and people won in the past years.

 Typical businesses are awarded 2nd and 3rd Labor Orders. 

From an agricultural province, Binh Duong has so far become an industrialization and urbanization locality in the Southern key economic zone. The locality won a per capita average income of VND5.8mil per year in 1997 and VND36.9mil per year in 2011 and in the past year reached a 12 fold increase in FDI attraction from 1997.

At the anniversary, the provincial secretary Mai The Trung highly valued contributions of local business community to the local development over years and added that the locality would focus on implementing 4 breakthrough programs including hi-quality service development, synchronous investment in local socio-economic infrastructure facilities, urban rejuvenation and improvement of manpower quality.

Applauding the locality’s achievements, the State President Truong Tan Sang noted that the province should concentrate on excelling 4 tasks including rapid and sustainable development in combination with renewal of growth model and economic re-structure for the sake of improve quality, efficiency and competition in line with the 11th national Party congress’ resolution and 3rd central party committee’s resolution, 11th term; synchronous development of socio-economic infrastructure system; improvement of material and spiritual life of local residents and so on.

The State President believed that the locality would complete goals and tasks of the 9th provincial party congress and become an industrial and service province and be one of localities leading in the national cause of industrialization and modernization.

Recognizing contributions of local businesses and entrepreneurs over years, the local leaders granted 2nd Labor Orders to Binh Duong Construction and Minerals Company, FrieslandCampina Vietnam Company and Vietcombank Binh Duong and 3rd Labor Order to Dai Thien Loc JSC, merit certificates to 2 typical companies and 5 individuals.
