3rd session of 8th People’s Council ratifies 17 important resolutions

At the closing session, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung focused on some important issues including environmental pollution, new rural building, poverty reduction, healthcare, traffic safety and so on concerned by voters and deputies. In addition, Le Thanh Cung explained some contents relating to implementing results of local socio-economic development and national defense and security in 2011.

The chairman stressed some key tasks of 2012 plans including improvement of manpower quality, development of high quality service, social housing and urban development and among others.

Deputies also considered and ratified 17 resolutions on local socio-economic development in 2012, basic construction and investment plans, local People’s Council’s operation and inspection in 2012, budget forecast and allocation in 2012, policies of talent attraction and training and so on.

Addressing the concluding session, the provincial People’s Council chairman Vu Minh Sang asked the local People’s Committee, all level agencies and sectors to keep implementing Politburo’s Conclusion 02 and Government’s Resolution 11 on inflation control, macro-economic stability and social welfare assurance as well as concretizing 9th provincial party congress’ resolutions, mobilizing sources for local industrial, trade and service development and hastening progress of hi-tech projects and ensuring stable supply of goods in the coming Tet holiday.

In terms of socio-cultural field, all level agencies and sectors should improve quality of education and training, healthcare, excel welfare policies, spur attacks against crimes, solve petitions of voter and deputies as well as settle complaints and denouncements and improve managerial efficiency of all level agencies.

After the third session, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and People’s Councils at all levels will spur inspections on implementing local socio-economic goals and resolutions ratified by the local People’s Council and so on.
