450 union officials attend conference of reporteurs in Q1 2024

On April 5, Binh Duong provincial Trade Union held the first quarter 2024 reporter conference. Attending the conference were Mr. Ngọ Duy Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Trade Union; leaders of the provincial Trade Union, along with 450 delegates who are specialized trade union officials and grassroots trade union officials.

At the conference, delegates listened to reports, thoroughly grasped some key tasks focused on implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Trade Union; the activities of the trade union organization on the occasion of Workers' Month; activities preparing to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam General Trade Union (July 28); information on the ideological situation, social consensus orientation among members, workers, officials, and laborers.

Statement at the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu proposed, to do better the work of representation, care, protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, union officials at all levels must innovate thinking, creative ways in trade union activities. In addition to regular tasks, it is necessary to focus on caring activities, supporting members, and workers becoming increasingly diverse. Especially in the current information explosion period, there is a strong need to operate on a digital platform, helping members and workers avoid cybersecurity threats, avoid negative and harmful information, helping the members, workers firmly believe in the trade union organization, work hard, produce well, contribute to the prosperity of the country, affirm the role of the Vietnamese working class.
