78% of enterprises with collective labor deals

Early January 5, the Trade Union of the province’s garment-textile sector held a conference to review its activities in 2019 and define orientations, tasks for 2020.

The Trade Union of the province’s garment-textile sector last year focused on taking care of and protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. So far, 60 out of 77 enterprises with trade union locals have reached collective labor deals or 78% of total. The Trade Union of the sector has disseminated the Resolution of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on “the quality of mid-shift meals for laborers” to all trade union locals. Currently, there are 67 enterprises with meals worth VND15,000 and above each.

In 2020, the Trade Union of the sector will further guide trade union locals to sign collective labor deals with more benefits in favor of laborers; diversify propaganda forms; boost emulation movements among trade unionists and laborers; improve the quality of trade union locals…
