Animation of “Spring volunteer” campaign

On the first day of the New Year 2021, students from schools across the province have prepared many significant activities for the “Spring volunteer” campaign.

Raising spring funds

Thu Dau Mot University is now very animated with the “Spring volunteer” program 2021 under the theme of “Tet in border region”.

Hoang Dinh Tung, Head of the school’s Youth Volunteer Club said that under the “Spring volunteer” program 2021, the school’s clubs and groups have organized booths selling goods like “lucky money” envelopes, paper tissues, junk-food, hand-made items, confectionary… to raise funds for families with difficult circumstances in Binh Phuoc province’s Loc Ninh district, bringing them a more comfortable and warmer Tet.

Bringing Tet home

The “Spring volunteer” program is also the activity expressing the role of provincial Students ‘Associations at all levels in taking care of children and teenagers with difficult circumstances, bringing them a cozy and happy Tet.

Provincial Youth Federation has considered and set a list of outstanding students and laborers for the “Bringing Tet home” program 2021 launched by the Central Committee of the Youth Union. Under the program, the province will have 600 coach tickets and 232 plane ones for students, workers from central and northern provinces to return home for Tet. Whilst, provincial Students ‘Association and schools are urgently preparing gifts, “meal for Tet” programs for students who are not able to return home for Tet.

Tran Bao Lam, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that this year’s “Spring volunteer” campaign is organized with such significant activities as cleaning up schools, classes and streets; mobilizing gifts, scholarships from organization, individuals to pupils, students with difficult circumstances in and out of the province; organizing “Meal for Tet” programs; organizing art performances for children in poor localities and at lodging facilities….

Provincial Youth Federation will also strengthen Tet care for needy children and teenagers by practical deeds; visit, offer Tet gifts to poor families at hospitals, health centers on the days near Tet, bringing them a warm atmosphere in early Lunar New Year 2021.

In addition, provincial Youth Union and associations will diversify sports and cultural activities for Youth Union members, teenagers-children and locals; especially make dissemination of information about Covid-19 prevention, food poisoning, labor safety, traffic safety, fire fighting and prevention among units…, aiming to bring all people the most complete Tet.
