Binh Duong provincial leaders receive the Ministry of Science and Arts Chief of the state of Hesse, Federal Republic of Germany

Morning June 23, at Binh Duong rovincial Administration Center, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee received the delegation of the Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen State from Federal Republic of Germany led by Mr. Manuel Stock, Chief of the Office of the Hessen State.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao informed the delegation about a number of contents about the province's socio-economic development in the first 6 months of 2022. Over the years, the province has always made great efforts to improve the investment environment, reform administrative procedures, and enhance competitiveness. As of April 2022, Binh Duong province has 18 investment projects of German enterprises with a total investment capital of more than USD 55 million. Investment in development of education and training of high-quality human resources has also been paid special attention to by the province. Besides promoting socio-economic development, Binh Duong also actively expands bilateral and multilateral cooperations.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao said that in March 2022, the delegation of Binh Duong province visited and worked with Hessen state on bilateral cooperation and promoted the signing of cooperation agreements in the field of construction, vocational training schools. Binh Duong is promoting the establishment of friendly cooperative relations with Darmstadt city of Hesse state from Federal Republic of Germany to strengthen connections and promote the cooperation in the fields of science and technology and smart city development.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao shared that in the coming time, Binh Duong would like to learn and cooperate in the field of training and developing high-quality human resources with partners in Hessen state and in Germany. Binh Duong province will support and facilitate Vietnamese German University to operate, contributing to the provision of high-quality human resources for Binh Duong in particular and the Southeast region in general.

Mr. Manuel Stock expressed his impression and congratulated Binh Duong on the achievements. He believed that the role of high-quality human resources would be very important for the development of a country. Vietnamese German University is the first university in the project of building a new model university, established on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement between Vietnam and Germany, starting with the initiative of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hesse. With a pioneering model, the school is harmoniously combining the Vietnamese higher education curriculum framework with German academic models and standards. Vietnamese German University is the result of a special bilateral cooperation effort between the governments of Vietnam and Germany. To date, the institution has gained many achievements and is proud to assume its role as a competent partner for academia, industry, and society at large.

Mr. Manuel Stock also expressed his joy and excitement when the new campus of the University in Binh Duong province is about to be completed and put into operation as the premise-to-be to continue the success for VGU as well as the Vietnam-Germany cooperation of training human resources for sustainable development and  making positive contributions to the public sector development for Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.
