Binh Duong youth remembers Uncle Ho's words

In his Will, President Ho Chi Minh instructed: "Fostering the revolutionary generation for the next life is a very important and essential work". Remembering the teaching, Executive Committee of Provincial Youth Union had many creative and flexible ways associated with "Building the values of Vietnamese youth model in the new era", took care, fostered young ones to continue revolutionary career.

Binh Duong's youth carry out the project "Youth route of following Uncle Ho's teachings" at Cong Chua Ngoc Han street, Phuoc Vinh town, Phu Giao district on the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Will.

Building up model values

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, said that to "Build up the values ​​of Vietnamese youth model in the new era", in recent years, Youth Union at all levels in the province have had many diverse forms in the communication and education among youth union members. In addition to many training courses, Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee also focused on each group, for example, students turned towards criteria: positive, creative, and integrated; youth in urban areas: Dynamic, creative, active in civilized urban construction; youth organizations’ officials: exemplary, creativity, responsibility, being close to grassroots level; youth in rural areas: industrious, creative, active, new rural construction; young workers: training skills, working style, improving labor productivity; teenagers, children: studying well, obedient, doing good deeds; young civil servants: being close to people, friendly, and effective; armed forces’ youth: loyal, bravery, active, ready; young entrepreneurs: active, creative, and integrated.

According to Ms. Xuan, the organization of activities to build these models’ values of Binh Duong youths in the new period has always been associated with revolutionary action movements, creating an ideal educational environment for revolutionary, ethics, and cultural lifestyle of youth union members and children.

Many good models, creative ways

In recent years, Youth Union from the province to grassroots level have set up many effective models and solutions to expand the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle among the youth. Some examples were: "One hour of saving electricity to follow Uncle's words", "My family follows Uncle Ho", "Following Uncle Ho's words at my youth branch", "Hanging Uncle Ho's photo at solemn places in house of youth members", “Uncle Ho's death anniversary", youth work "Youth flower garden following Uncle Ho's instructions"... Besides, youth branches also hung Uncle Ho's will at grassroots level; story telling and music art contests praising Uncle Ho; planting trees to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; political activities with the theme "Remembering Uncle Ho, our heart is purer"; launching high-level emulation movements to celebrate national great holidays; "Young workers’ festival following Uncle Ho", "Exemplary lodging houses for young workers"...

Many advanced and good examples appeared. These were important factors that encouraged and promoted youth movements. Up to now, many models have been realized and expanded among Youth Union branches, many exemplary young persons followed Uncle Ho's words, Uncle Ho's good grandchildren were praised and become shining examples for all members and children.

Only in the period 2016-2018, youth union members in the province performed and launched 427 civilized (bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe) routes (alleys); 1,610 "Green Sundays", "Voluntary Saturdays"; 75 flower gardens "Youths following Uncle Ho’s words”; nearly 200 models, diversified activities, such as program "Binh Duong Youths join hands to build a dynamic and friendly Public Administration Center", the movement "Smile of the office"; 80km road of "Lighting up the countryside", concreting, repairing 56km of rural roads... thereby, youth organizations played an important part, participated in socio-economic development, environmental protection, solved difficulties of the community.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Will, Binh Duong youth always remembers what he taught: "Young people volunteer to the most arduous places, where others do little or no results, we must volunteer to do well". The words of Uncle Ho encouraged many youth generations to make efforts to build up our innovative and beautiful homeland. Young people, who are living and working in Binh Duong land today, strive to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example by practical works.
