Dau Tieng sees stable growth in economy

The conference approved the draft reports on the district’s socio-economic, national defence-security, building work of the Party, government and mass organizations in 2011 and orientations-tasks through 2012.

Reportedly, the district’s total GDP in 2011 was estimated at nearly VND1.71trillion, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%. Of these, agricultural production value grew by 4.6% while trade-service value achieved a 18.5% increase. The values of industrial manufacture and construction also rose by 22%.

The district also paid more attention to the lives of policy beneficiary families and poor ones.

For 2012’s targets, Dau Tieng district will strive to achieve its economic growth at 11.6%; have 90% of households recognized as “cultural households”, 80% of hamlets, quarters recognized as “cultural hamlets, quarters”; maintain political stability and social order…
