Dazzling 90-tier payroll offered

As reported by province’s labor union, majority of enterprises have moved to adjust wages for labor force as required by the government. However, many enterprises have fallen into using the old payroll but follow instructions of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA). Some others applied payroll of up to 90 tiers of rate without adjustment for experienced and having high rate of paying laborers.

The situation is blamed to be main reasons for labor disputes recently involving strikes.

 

“Chi Hung JVC has set up 90-tier payroll, for that if laborers are offered 1 tier increment a year; they have to work for 90 years to earn biggest payment. Meanwhile, those who are offered with increment of 2 tiers a year will have to work for 45 years. This is really tough on laborers,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong – Deputy Chairman of province’s Labor Union.
