Determination set in Binh Duong to implement major traffic projects as planned

On the afternoon of May 15, Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee chaired the 34th meeting of the provincial People's Committee (the expanded session).

The meeting heard leaders of departments and branches report on approving norms of operating and treating domestic wastewater at wastewater treatment plants in the province, draft Resolution promulgating the list of public non-business services funded by the state budget in the fields of labor, war invalids and social affairs, on adjusting and supplementing the number of people working for non-business units, on merging the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health into the Provincial Center for Disease Control, the draft Funding support for forces participating in supporting people to activate electronic identification accounts in the province, draft Resolution on investment policy on the construction project of the section from Thu Bien Bridge - Saigon River in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) of Vanh Dai 4 in Ho Chi Minh city. Accordingly, phase I of the project is about 47.85 km long with highway scale of 4 lanes and designed speed of 100 km/h for total investment value of about VND 18,247 billion.

Speaking at the meeting's conclusion, Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the contents presented and discussed at the meeting. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the land price policy associated with resettlement, requiring the departments, branches and localities to coordinate in reasonable calculation to ensure the harmony of benefits for people in the affected areas. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee agreed to merge the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health into the provincial Center for Disease Control. For the financial support of volunteers participating in supporting electronic identification, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Finance to advise and propose.

For key traffic projects, Vo Van Minh said, the province is determined and persistent to work on the basis of mobilizing resources to implement on schedule the Ho Chi Minh city - Chon Thanh expressway. and Vanh Dai 4 in the near future. He affirmed that the investment in road construction creates favorable conditions for regional connectivity and improves the efficiency of exploitation of expressways and radial national highways to promote investment efficiency by connecting traffic between Long Thanh International Airport and other provinces and cities in the Southern Key Economic Zone, thereby contributing to reducing the load on the radial traffic system of Ho Chi Minh city, especially the National Highway 1A, National Highway 13, and My Phuoc - Tan Van.
