After five year-implementation, the campaign of “All people take part in environmental protection” reaped many considerable results, greatly contributing to heightening awareness and responsibility of the local community in environmental protection…

All districts and towns in the province have so far had close cooperation with the local Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and the local natural resources and environment sector in promoting the campaign of “All people take part in environmental protection” among the local people. Over the past five years, provincial Fatherland Front Committee teamed up with provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment to open 21 training courses raising awareness of environment for 1,641 officials.

Noticeably, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels launched the campaign of “All people take part in environmental protection” in association with the “The entire people consolidate to build cultured lifestyle in residential areas” campaign, which received positive response from the local people via substantial activities such as cleaning up streets, not dropping litter at public places, clearing sewers to avoid flooding and prevent dengue fever, planting various green and ornamental trees in residential areas…

After five years of implementing the campaign of “All people take part in environmental protection”, many models on environmental protection have been implemented effectively, including the model of “self-managing group on environmental protection”. For example, the self-managing group on environmental protection of Binh Thuan hamlet in Thuan An district’s Binh Nham commune mobilized 79 local households to equip rubbish baskets by themselves, required those getting involved in trading and animal husbandry to keep environmental protection.

The self-managing group on environmental protection of Thuan Giao ward’s Binh Thuan II hamlet also mobilized the local people to raise money to its working budget. Meanwhile, the self-managing group on environmental protection at Ben Cat district’s quarter 3 worked effectively over the past time. All household in the group were self-aware of keeping environmental sanitation…In Dau Tieng district, all communes and township also implemented plans to launch the management work on environmental protection, helping environmental protection in residential areas seriously realized…

The results from the “All people take part in environmental protection” campaign launched by provincial Fatherland Front Committee over the past five years contributed to improving the local environment. For better effectiveness, the campaign needs to have more attention and support from the local authorities, especially high awareness about environmental protection among the local people.
