Local cadres, civil servants participate in Covid-19 prevention and control

Early August 20, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held a ceremony to launch the fight against Covid-19 pandemic among  cadres, civil servants and laborers at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of departments, sectors, agencies, districts, towns and cities in the province together with a large number of cadres, civil servants and laborers.

Ready to complete anti-Covid-19 task

Over the past time, the province made every effort to mobilize all resources to participate in Covid-19 prevention and control. However, due to the prolonged  pandemic, some support delegations from other localities have been gradually withdrawn. From that actual situation, provincial Party Standing Committee realized that it is necessary for the province to mobilize cadres, civil servants, laborers, Youth Union members, and trade unionists at all levels to join hands in the local fight against the pandemic. Up to now, the whole province has mobilized 1,281 civil servants from 25 units. This force will support the province and "red zone" localities in the province to complete the tasks of taking samples for Covid-19 testing, separating F0 cases from the community, tracing contacts of F1 cases, coordinating vaccination, being on duty at checkpoints and supporting policies on social welfare.

Representing 683 cadres, civil servants participating in the 2nd stage of the local fight against the pandemic, Nguyen Dong Tien, Secretary of provincial  Customs Department’s Youth Union promised to well implement the policy of provincial Party Committee and with the responsibility of citizens, all the local cadres and civil servants will contribute their strength when the homeland needs. “We are aware that this is the responsibility of every citizen to the homeland of Binh Duong amid the complicated developments of the pandemic. When being assigned tasks, we will comply with the assignment of local authorities and management units with a high sense of responsibility, upholding the spirit of solidarity, “mutual affection, mutual love”, giving mutual help to complete entrusted tasks; always comply with all regulations, not be subjective, negligent, lose vigilance, ensure absolute safety in Covid-19 prevention and control", said Mr. Tien.

Talking to reporters of Binh Duong Newspaper on the sidelines of the ceremony, many cadres and civil servants said that they are ready to well perform their assigned tasks in Covid-19 prevention and control; support localities to vaccinate people, implement policies for those affected by the pandemic… They also believe that with the drastic direction of provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee together with the determination, joint effort and unanimity of all people, cadres and civil servants in the province will do everything for Binh Duong to effectively fight the pandemic, further maintaining economic development, protecting the peace for all people living in the province.

Rushing, being exemplary

At the ceremony, Mr. Thao praised the voluntary spirit of cadres and civil servants. He said that with the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", provincial Party Committee and Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control want all sectors, authorities, cadres and civil servants to make every effort to join hands with the province to well perform anti-Covid-19 tasks. Among the 683 cadres and civil servants participating in the second stage against the pandemic, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control selected 116 people and sent them to provincial Department of Information-Communications and Department of Health for professional training to participate in supporting data entry, distribution of medical supplies while 567 people are expected to be distributed to "red zone" localities to assist in taking samples for testing, being on duty at checkpoints...He wanted that the local cadres and civil servants participating in the frontline of the fight against the pandemic must unite, make every effort, be not afraid of hardships to successfully complete assigned tasks.

On behalf of localities, Bui Thanh Nhan, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Di An city’s Party Committee, Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control also spoke at the attention of province Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, cadres and civil servants in supporting the "red zone" localities to soon contain and repel the pandemic. “Di An City will arrange this support force to urgently make vaccination, ensure social welfare policies for people affected by Covid-19 pandemic... It is believed that with the enthusiasm of cadres and civil servants, together with the city’s whole political system, we will overcome difficulties, defeat the pandemic, stabilize people’s life and continue helping the province reach sustainable development in order to deserve people's trust and love",  said Mr. Nhan.
