Local War Veterans’ Associations at all levels pioneer patriotic emulation movements

One of highlights of provincial War Veterans’ Associations at all levels in the 2012-2017 tenure was their vanguard spirit in patriotic emulation movements with a lot of self-managing models and ones for the sake of the community in aspects.

These models created pervasive influence on the community and upheld their practical efficiency in life.

Over the past years, Phu Giao district’s War Veterans’ Association set up a variety of practical and significant models.

“Head of the War Veterans’ Association branch is the Honorary Secretary of quarter and hamlet-level Youth Union branch” was one of new models realized by the district’s War Veterans’ Association and Youth Union. Under the model, the two agencies had closely coordination to enhance the operational quality of Youth Union branches in quarters and hamlets; well realized education on revolutionary tradition among Youth Union members…

The district’s War Veterans’ Association also developed many typical self-managing models, namely “Self-managing road”, “5 + 1”, “Giving strength to pupils”…over the past time.

Pham Van Trung, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s War Veterans’ Association said that thanks to members’ vanguard spirit, the district’s War Veterans’ Association successfully built many self-managing models on aspects over the past time. These models actually absorbed the participation of numerous members and locals, contributing to the local development.

Along with Phu Giao, the War Veterans’ Associations of other localities has so far upheld their creativeness and proactiveness in organizing activities in association with the local political tasks. Di An town’s War Veterans’ Association has set up a lot of models on “Golden heart of war veterans”, “Giving strength to poor-but-excellent pupils”, “Saving for poor pupils”, thereby offering help to the local disadvantaged people. Since 2013, the “Saving for poor pupils” model has awarded gifts and scholarships worth nearly VND470million to more than 1,000 pupils.

Or, thanks to having regular improvements in both operational content and content, since 2015, Ben Cat town’s War Veterans’ Association and its branches have till now established new models with creativeness. For example, the War Veterans’ Association branches in Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Hoa Loi, Thoi Hoa wards are well-known with models, namely “War Veterans set bright examples in making suggestions to national construction”, “Model streets”, “Giving strength to school”, “1+3”…

Nguyen Ngoc Hanh, Chairman of Ben Cat town’s War Veterans’ Association said that all models initiated over the past time came from the association’s requirement of operational content and form, in which there was an improvement of the quality of emulation movements.
