Medical development of Binh Duong province in need of central medical strategies

October 8, Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee organized a seminar on generally developing medical sector of the province until 2030 with the attendance of Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Van Thuan, Vo Van Minh – Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Loc Ha – Standing Member of the provincial Party Commiittee cum Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Speaking at the seminar, Nguyen Loc Ha recognized a fact that the response capacity of the health system in general and the grassroots health system in particular of the province still has many limitations that need consolidating and overcoming soon. The seminar aimed to share best practices in State management, supplement scientific and legal bases to complete and ensure the feasibility of the provincial Medical Sector Development Project to 2030.

The participants of the workshop candidly exchanged many related agendas of deploying a 2,000-bed hospital and a medical university on an area of 50 hectares in Bau Bang district, solutions to attract and retain doctors in long-term working conditions, digital transformation solutions in the health sector, position and role of the Binh Duong health sector. Delegates said that the project needs to closely follow the local and regional master plans and the central health development strategies in order to catch up with the development process of the province and the country.
