More than 45,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines deployed for children

Implementing Decision No. 754/QD-VVSDTTU of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology on the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, the provincial People's Committee unified the subjects of injection and distribution of vaccines for the 170th and 171st phases with a total number of more than 45,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines which will be administered to children from 5 to under 11 years old.

Specifically, 34,900 doses will be administered to children from 5 to under 12 years old, and the remaining 10,530 doses will be administered to children aged 12 to under 18 years. In this phase, Thu Dau Mot city was the most distributed unit with more than 11,000 doses, followed by Ben Cat town with 9,000 doses, and Thuan An city 7,000 doses. The provincial Center for Disease Control receives the vaccine, develops a deploying plan, and distributes to localities and vaccination establishments to vaccinate the subjects. The Center also pays special attention to the time, subjects and expiry date of the vaccines to ensure a high and effective vaccine utilization coefficient. It is known that the 170th and 171st stages of vaccination are supported by the Australian Government and COVAX Facility.
