More than VND115 million for implementing wastewater treatment project in Di An

The “Wastewater drainage and treatment system in Di An zone” project within the frame of projected additional loans under the project named “Water supply and urban wastewater - Phase I" funded by World Bank has been approved by the Prime Minister. The project is to strengthen control of water pollution, stop the illegal discharge of wastewater, efficiently use water resources, contribute to maintaining safe water sources, Dong Nai River basin, secure the water source for the southern key economic zone (including Ho Chi Minh City and provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

The project consists of 3 components, including wastewater collection and treatment in Di An town; renovating Di An town rainwater drainage system; technical assistance and institutional strengthening for Binh Duong province, Di An town and Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage – Environment Company. Total investment of the project is $115,234,000. PPC is the project manager. The implementation period is 3 years from the signing of the agreement.
