NA Vice Chairman welcomes Ukrainian parliamentarians

Vietnam always places importance on solidifying and developing friendship and all-around cooperation with traditional countries, including Ukraine, said National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Do Ba Ty while receiving Friendship Parliamentarians Group led by its Chairwoman Yurynets Oksana Vasylivna in Hanoi on April 23.

Ty hailed close coordination and mutual support between the two countries at recent international organisations and forums, including Ukraine’s commitment to advocating Vietnam’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council for 2020-21 tenure.

He suggested the two legislative bodies continue stepping up coordination and offering mutual support at multi-lateral inter-parliamentary forums  in which,Vietnam and Ukraine are members.

Vice Chairman Ty asked Ukrainian parliament and concerned agencies continue to offer favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Ukraine.

Chairwoman of the Group Vasylivna expressed her wish that both countries’ parliamentarians will enhance their role as representatives of regions and localities and promote cooperation connectivity between Ukraine and Vietnam in economics, trade and investment.

Earlier, the Vietnam-Ukraine Friendship Parliamentarians Group led by deputy head of the NA Finance - Budget Committee Dinh Van Nha hold talks with their Ukrainian counterpart.

Both groups’ leaders expressed their elation at fruitful economic cooperation  and highlighted exchange visits and meetings between the two countries’ parliamentarians as good opportunities for the two legislatures to exchange information, experience in law-making process and supervising issues of mutual concern.
