Province records one new imported Covid-19 case

According to the Ministry of Health, Binh Duong province has just recorded one new imported Covid-19 case. That is the patient 2513, born in 1977, a Taiwanese (Chinese) expert at Hitech J&B Vietnam Co., Ltd. in the Bau Bang Industrial Park.

The patient entered Vietnam on February 22 via Tan Son Nhat airport, on flight BR391 with the number of seat 50A and together with 17 other experts. They were quarantined immediately after their entry at Dai Nam Hotel and Phu Giao district’s Health Center. According to the result of the first test on February 23, the Taiwanese expert was negative for Covid-19. Before completing his isolation, on March 7, he took the second sample for test with positive result for Covid-19. It is known that from 16:00 on February 22 to March 7, he contacted 5 people with the same hometown, including 1 person working in the same company and 4 people working in other companies in Ben Cat town.

For the 5 cases with close contact with the patient BN2513, they will continue making isolation for another 14 days. For those eligible for completing isolation, they are required to further make self-isolation at home under the close supervision of the local medical force.
