Provincial Farmers’ Association promotes emulation movements towards mutual support

Along with other tasks, provincial Farmers’ Association have actively mobilized farmers to get involved in the national target programs and emulation movements in production and business; made sci-tech transfer in association with the implementation of support projects for farmers in production and business, helping them improve their income and rise up out of poverty.

Emulation in production and business

With the support of Farmers’ Associations at all levels, farmers across the province have bravely expanded their production and business activities, applied sci-tech advancements in cultivation and animal husbandry, promoted production models with hi-economic efficiency, thereby helping them get rich. Some outstanding models include the ornamental fish-breeding model of Vo Tuan Kiet in TDM city’s Chanh Nghia ward; the ornamental plants-growing model of Tu Quang Vinh in Thuan An town’s An Thanh ward; the pigeons-breeding model of Nguyen Minh Sang in Di An town’s Binh An ward; the dairy cows-breeding model in Dau Tieng district’s Long Tan commune…

Tu Quang Vinh in Thuan An town’s An Thanh ward is now well-known as one of the province’s outstanding farmers. For nine consecutive years from 2006 to 2014, he was recognized as a good farmer in production and business by provincial Farmers’ Association. After 30 years of growing ornamental plants, he has successfully developed the model on an area of over 10,000 square meters, helping him secure the annual income of hundreds of millions of dong.

Building up cultural families

Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have also taken initiative in joining hands with relevant agencies to promote the emulation movement of building up cultural families, quarters and hamlets among members. According to the result of the annual assessment, there are more than 95% of farming households winning the “cultural family” title.

In addition, provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have regularly mobilized members to practice civilized lifestyle in wedding parties, funerals and abolish unsound customs, superstitions; mobilized them to take part in protecting the environment, combating climate change, keeping traffic safety, ensuring food safety and hygiene, preventing fire and explosion and maintaining social order-security.

Upholding the traditions of “When drinking water, remember its source”, “The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves”, provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have mobilized members to actively get involved in social charity activities. Around VND88.5mln was raised to the Fund of “For beloved Truong Sa”. Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels also visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor members over the past time…

Nguyen Hoang Vinh, Chairman of provincial Farmers’ Association said: “In the coming time, the association will focus on realizing emulation movements towards mutual support in production and business. The association will also promote the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas” among farmers…”
