The Provincial People's Committee’s 66th session approves important contents

On July 17, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the 66th meeting of the Provincial People's Committee. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the session.

The meeting approved 20 documents, of which 12 were presented and discussed at the meeting, such as: report and propose a list of centralized purchasing units in Binh Duong province; report on survey results of investors' interest in the Ho Chi Minh City expressway project—Chon Thanh; and advise on selecting investors for transport infrastructure projects in the form of public-private partnerships (PPP) that have the best capacity and experience, ensuring standards, quality, progress...

The meeting also approved a proposal to promulgate the decision on the charter capital of the Binh Duong Environmental Protection Fund and regulations on coordinating environmental protection in industrial parks in the province.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh essentially agreed with the report’s contents. Accordingly, for key transport infrastructure investment projects, the Chairman of Provincial People's Committee agreed with the proposal to select transport infrastructure project investors using the PPP method with the best capacity and experience, ensure standards, quality, progress, having a commitment to project implementation and meeting the criteria of publicity, transparency, and compliance with the law... Regarding the project of traffic control and surveillance cameras in the province, Minh agreed on the cost estimate, as well as technical and transmission proposals from specialized agencies to promote the effectiveness of the project in the coming time.

Minh also noted that for some drafts and comments, more comments need to be added and continued to be completed at the next session for consideration and approval...
