To innovate educational management

One task of educational development strategy from 2016-2020 is to develop a teaching staff and educational administrators that meet the requirements of education and training reform. Since innovative management practices were promoted, many school principals have demonstrated their management capacity through good practices, creativity, and improved quality of education.

With the policy of management innovation, in 2010, Binh Duong sent some principals of 3 levels: primary, secondary and high school to Singapore to learn its management model. After this training, the schools made changes in management style, leadership turning towards innovation and integration. This movement has gradually expanded into other schools and became a vibrant emulation movement in the management team. Principals have flexibly adapted to the situation from time to time.

 

To carry out management reform, students of Tran Hung Dao secondary school (Phu Giao district) study any time anywhere.

At Dong Hoa B primary school (Di An town), it was the dynamics of Management Board, the school made changes and innovations in moral education, skill training for students in parallel with the general program to develop student capabilities. There was a time when other elementary schools in the province considered this as an address for visiting and learning experiences.

Management reform is one of the contents of Resolution No. 29 of the 8th Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. Huynh Van Nghe high school (Tan Uyen town), in many years, achieved outstanding results; its students won high prizes at national and provincial excellent students’ contest, and high results in the annual national high school exam. These results proved the leadership capacity of the school board. According to Principal Tran Trong Hoang, the school has carried out the management by information technology application; heighten the responsibility and active role of managing and teaching staff in professional activities and inspections. Every month, the school organizes school-level lectures to evaluate and draw lessons for teachers. The management of teaching and learning is also strengthened.

Renovation of activity management is a very important task in school management in order to improve educational quality of schools and to be associated with the renovation of teaching methods. Principal Nguyen Van Su of Phuoc Hoa secondary school (Phu Giao district) said: "Renovation of professional activity management will make teachers more active in exploring innovation, developing innovative teaching methods and the excitement in applying, experimenting and acquiring new ones, creating a vibrant atmosphere among the whole organization". In recent years, the school's management board has implemented a number of measures, including the organization of teacher’s self-commitment to educational quality assurance on the basis of reviewing and classification of students, especially devising practical solutions. As a result, in the 2018-2019 school year, 79.3% its students were admitted to public schools.

Nguyen Hong Sang, Director of provincial Department of Education and Training, recognized that schools had done well the implementation, innovation of teaching methods, testing and assessment methods; instruct teaching activities and classify students based on capacity; well implement information technology application in teaching innovation... Therefore, the quality and effectiveness of education and training has been strengthened and gradually improved.
