Vietnam, Laos strengthen mass mobilization cooperation

Update: 14-11-2011 | 00:00:00

The agreement was reached during talks in Vientiane on November 13 between Ha Thi Khiet, a PCC secretary and head of the Vietnamese Commission for Mass Mobilization and Phanduangchit Vongsa, member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and head of LFNC.

The two organisations will work with relevant agencies to organise the third Vietnam-Lao Friendship Festival and a meeting on the Vietnam-Laos Border of Peace and Friendship next year.

Both sides will propose solutions to reform mass mobilization work and improve its quality to strengthen Vietnam-Laos relations in a more practical and effective way.

Vietnam and Laos will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties and 35th anniversary of their Friendship and Cooperation Treaty in 2012.

Host and guest affirmed their determination to strengthen cooperation in mass mobilization through sharing experiences, training competent staff for mass mobilization work, and learning more about the religious situation as well as Party and State policies on religion and mass mobilization.
