Over the past 30 years, plough machines branded MTZ of Soviet Union have existed and upheld their efficiency in rubber plantations. Bui Van Tai, vice director of Long Hoa Rubber Plantation said “Soviet Union in the old days offered the plough machines for us to reclaim”.        Vietnam-Soviet Union cooperative friendship in early days of 1981.

Long Hoa Rubber Plantation was set up on May 2, 1982. Thanks to machines from Vietnam-Soviet Union cooperation program, the plantation has so far had over 3,500ha of rubber area from 477ha in 1982.

Looking back over 30 years, everyone has recognized Dau Tieng Rubber One-member Company Limited’s workers’ extraordinary labor. In 1981, to seek out new ways, the company directorate set out measures and concrete actions to gather technical cadres and experts of rubber field and solve difficulties to implement new business ways.

With the slogan of all for reclaimation and newly-cultivation, reclaimation work was executed urgently. A relaimation team under assistance of Soviet experts created an emulation movement in production.

In 1982, the company decided to set up 4 more rubber plantations including Minh Tan, Long Tan, Ben Suc and An Lap, totaling 7 rubber plantations. One year later, the company had 11 rubber plantations.   Rubber workers have attached their life with white latex streams

In 1985, on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of Russian October Revolution, the company officially announced its 5 year plan with 20,000 newly-planted rubber hectares, a glorious success for the 1st period in the Vietnam-Soviet Union cooperation program.

Over 30 years, the company has developed completely. The company has over the past 5 years reached over 249,000 tons of rubber with a turnover of VND9.5 tril. In the first 10 months of this year, output of rubber latex exploitation, processing and consumption obtained over 38,000 tons, reaching 100% of 2011’ plan. In addition, the company has expanded its investment fields by planting rubber plantations in Laos.  

Although the Soviet Union officially ended its own existence, love and contribution of Soviet comrades of yore have still existed in Dau Tieng Rubber One-member Company Limited.
