70% local pupils join Bao Viet insurance

The Binh Duong Insurance Company (Bao Viet Binh Duong) under the Vietnam Insurance Group held a conference to sum up its insurance activities among teachers and pupils in the 2009 and 2010 academic year.

In the last academic year, Bao Viet Binh Duong reached a total revenue of nearly VND8bln from clients who are teachers and pupils. As many as 137 local pupils joined the company’s insurance or 70% of total, increasing by 5,500 pupils compared to the previous academic year with a total premium of VND6.5bln or 108.6% of the projection. For pupils, the company carried out compensation for 3,440 cases while 1,817 other compensation cases were realized for teachers.

Bao Viet Binh Duong will strive to reach 80% of pupils and 85%-90% of teachers joining its insurance; further implement the program on clean water for the remaining schools and give financial support for schools to organize the program on traffic safety at school.

At the conference, Bao Viet Binh Duong also commended and rewarded individuals, units and schools for their good performance in the insurance work for teachers and pupils in the 2009 and 2010 academic year.
