Action Month for Children launched

On May 30, Ben Cat city’s Steering Committee of Children and Teenagers’ Activities held a summer ceremony opening the 2024 summer activities, launched the 2024 Month of Action for Children, communications campaign on "Practical action, prioritizing resources for children" in the city.

This year's summer program has the theme of "Practical action, prioritizing resources for children" starting from June 1 to June 30, aiming at ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children so that they can live and develop comprehensively, fully exercising children's rights, especially implementing measures to prevent and minimize the risk of children being subjected to violence and abuse. Along with that, the program aims at raising awareness and responsibility of all-level Party committees, authorities, departments, sectors and mass organizations, families, schools, communities and the whole society to build up a safe, healthy and friendly environment for children; respect, listen to opinions and promote children's right for participation while further promoting the implementation of key activities of child protection and care, creating a strong movement throughout the society to participate in child protection and care.

On this occasion, Ben Cat city donated 21 gifts to children with difficult circumstances in An Dien ward. After the launching ceremony, the local Youth Union members and young people participated in a propaganda parade on key roads of the city to create a profound effect on all people about the Month of Action for Children, the communications campaign on "Joining hands to minimize harm to children".
