Contest learning about the history of special relations between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam 2022 concluded

On December 12, the Central Commission of Popularization and Education held a special culural arts program "Vietnam - Laos relation", concluded the contest learning about the history of special relations between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam in 2022.  The program has the participation of Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission of Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Commission of Popularization and Education Lai Xuan Mon, Head of Steering Committee of the contest.

Representatives of the Lao People's Democratic Republic consisted of Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Lao Party Central Popularization and Education Committee Khamphan Pheuyavong; Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang; and the delegation of the Central Popularization and Education Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission of Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia stated that the special program "Vietnam - Laos relation" and the closing of the contest "Learning the history of special relations between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam 2022" is a very meaningful event in the "Year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam 2022" to practically celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations and 45 years of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty signing of Friendship and Cooperation.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission of Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated individuals who were awarded the contest's prizes; congratulated agencies and units making excellent achievements in the organization and implementation of the contest.

At the end of the contest, the organizers awarded prizes to winners of weekly contests, including 12 first prizes, 24 second prizes, and 60 third prizes. The Central Commission of Popularization and Education also awarded certificates of merit to localities and units giving outstanding performance in the organization and implementation of the contest.
