Launching the movement "I love my Fatherland"

Provincial Youth Confederation in collaboration with TDM City Youth Confederation organized the festival "I love my Fatherland" at Phu Cuong park, TDM City. A fun festive day

The 7th Vietnam Youth Confederation National Congress (tenure 2014-2019) launched the movement "I love my Fatherland” that has been implemented throughout the term. The festival "I love my Fatherland” was the starting activity of this movement in Binh Duong and was to celebrate the 70th August Revolution anniversary and National Day. At the festival, young persons divided into hobby groups, like: dancing, painting…

Youth representatives introduced action programs in response to the movement “I love my Fatherland”.

With a painting of operating soldiers, Le My Y, pupil of Nguyen Trai secondary school, wanted to convey a message: “I wish all soldiers to have good health to overcome hardships and serve the country”. Pupil Tran Ngoc Minh Anh of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai secondary school portrayed naval soldiers helping fishermen to catch fish. She said: “Images of naval soldiers helping people are popular on mass media. I think, it is a very beautiful image of patriotism of soldiers, so I wanted to draw this”. Every youngster chose their own theme of patriotism, Uncle Ho's soldiers to express what they felt.

Arousing patriotism

Apart from lively activities, “I love Binh Duong” forum was the highlight of the festival with the participation of nearly 200 union members. At the discussion, young persons exchanged information of the context, requirements and tasks of socio-economic development of the province, the country; challenges, arising problems to the youth at the present. Participants also raised, analyzed problems, evaluated expressions of ideal, ambition, ethics, lifestyle of the youth; and presented thoughts, desires of the youth; gave opinions to enhance Youth’s organizations…

At the forum, Mr. Huynh Van Toan, Vice Chairman of the Central Training Council, chaired the forum and raised many problems for young ones to discuss. Namely, what did young ones have to do to express their patriotism; why did you love Binh Duong; what did you do to develop Youth’s organization at your locality; what did you do to take care young worker’s life and so one. Then, the forum also set forward objectives and measures to develop specific action plans, meaningful projects to benefit the community, show the love to motherland.

Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth’s Union, Chairwoman of provincial Youth Confederation, said: “The festival “I love my Fatherland” is a practical activity to improve political consciousness, orient revolutionary ideal, arouse dreams, cheer up aspirations of the youth to learn, work, and protect the Fatherland. The festival helped young ones to raise awareness about their role and responsibilities to the country; then foster, improve knowledge actively participate in building strong Youth’s organizations…”
