North Tan Uyen strives to achieve target of being new-style rural district by 2024

On the afternoon of June 5, North Tan Uyen district’s People's Committee held a conference to review the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the first six months of the year and outline the directions and tasks for the last six months of 2024.

In the first half of 2024, the district issued a comprehensive system of documents to lead, direct and organize the implementation of central and provincial policies on the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in a flexible, comprehensive manner in line with the local conditions. Additionally, all-level authorities and sectors have intensified efforts to promote the new-style rural construction program, thereby mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, people from all strata and businesses. As a result, the district’s rural image has continued being improve positively. The material and spiritual lives of the local people have been enhanced.

As of now, according to the criteria of new-style rural districts, North Tan Uyen district has met 5 out of 9 criteria and 31 out of 36 targets. Regarding the advanced new-style district criteria, the district has met 3 out of 9 criteria and 30 out of 38 targets. In the remaining 6 months of the year, North Tan Uyen district will focus on improving the quality of the criteria for new-style rural districts, communes and model, advanced new-style ones; strived to complete 4 remaining criteria on planning, schools, economy, and environment…, contributing to achieving the goal of becoming a new-style rural district by 2024.
