Synthesis, analysis and evaluation of statistical survey focused on in 2018

In the afternoon of January 31, Provincial Bureau of Statistics summed up the economic survey in 2017 and implement plan for 2018. Tran Thanh Liem, the Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee attended and addressed the conference.

The economic census of 2017 aimed to assess the development of the number of establishments and labor, administrative and non-business establishments, production results, and levels of application of information technology in Binh Duong, the census was launched from February 2017. The information gathering period is conducted in two phases: phase 1 for business and administrative and non-business sectors, phase 2 for individual and religious groups. The statistics show that the total number of economic, administrative and professional units in the province is 128,716 increasing by 41.6% from 2012.

In 2018, the provincial statistics department will implement the survey programs set by the General Statistics Office and the provincial People's Committee while strengthening the work of improving professional qualifications, especially the application of information technology in statistics.

Addressing the conference, Tran Thanh Liem assessed the results of the economic survey in 2017 which would create favorable conditions for the province to set the direction of socio-economic development. He suggested that the sector should focus on the synthesis, analysis and evaluation of statistical surveys in 2018, including synthesizing and evaluating the added value in industrial production and promoting the application of information technology in statistical work.

On this occasion, the collectives and individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and the provincial People's Committee.
