Inheriting and promoting the good traditions and pride of the students, the Associations of Students of the province is continuously honored to receive the emulation flag of the Vietnamese Central Association of Students for their excellent performances in association and student movement.

Recalling the traditional history of students, anyone can feel the burning glow of the struggle took place on January 9, 1950, the day that the Youth Union and Youth Union of Sai Gon Cho Lon mobilized more than 2,000 school students and teachers to stand up for demonstrations, demanding security for students to study and demanding the release of captured students. Although the protests were brutally suppressed, the fighting spirit and sacrifices of the patriotic Tran Van On sparked a deep hatred among millions of students at that time.

Following these heroic traditions, the students' movements in Vietnam in general and in Binh Duong in particular have achieved great results. The provincial student body officially came into being in 2010, marking a milestone in the operation and development of the Binh Duong student movement. Up to now, the Association of Students has experienced 8 years of establishment and operations. The activities of the Association have gone in depth, increasingly higher quality and closer and left many good marks in students in and outside the province.

In the last academic year, the work of propaganda, education, and support for students has been developed in increasingly diverse and rich manner, especially the interest to support students to overcome hardship are always the concern of all levels, branches and the whole society. Many movements and big campaigns have been launched widely among students. Job exchanges, seminars on methods of university study, and scientific researching students have always attracted a lot of students.

The movement of learning, creativity, scientific research, and association activities in the past years, many students have achieved outstanding and typical achievements to be commended and rewarded at all levels. For example, in the past school year, the delegation of Thu Dau Mot University cooperated with the university to hold a scientific researching student festival in the academic year of 2016-2017 with 158 subjects accepted and awarded. Young scientific talents for 45 topics, including 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 21 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes have been awarded. At the same time, the university also cooperated with the Faculty of Information Technology and Department Electrical and Electronic Engineering to organize the robot designing contest along with exchange programs with successful businessmen organized Binh Duong University; and clumsy Robocon competition organized by Vietnam-Singapore Vocational Training College.

One activity that worth mentioning is the volunteer campaign in summer and spring. Volunteer programs and campaigns have attracted more than 3,000 students of universities and colleges in the province. Through the activities, many students have grown up, have a good striving and the honor to stand on the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Besides, the cultural and entertainment activities and sports have also been focused on.

Trinh Thi Thuy Hang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Students' Association, said: "The activities of the Association and the provincial student movement have been improved in recent years. Activities have gradually come into specialization, promoting synergy from the grassroots; promoting the sharing and participation of students, clubs, student groups. Generations of students in later years are more dynamic, active, brave, and confident to actively acquire information and enthusiasm to participate in school-level activities; to actively organize activities that are attractive and useful to students in their classes and in their schools."

In the current development trend of the country and the locality, there are many great opportunities for students but besides, there are many new challenges. Therefore, young people, especially the students, must strive to improve their morale, practice, to master the science and technology to be the future owner of the country.
