Thuan An’s Red Cross Society implements social charity activities valued at nearly VND 34 billion

Early December 16, Thuan An city’s Red Cross Society held a conference to sum up its activities in 2021 and set out orientations, tasks for 2022.

In 2021, the total value of social charity activities done by the city’s Red Cross Society was nearly VND34 billion. The society also well realized Covid-19 prevention and control with many practical programs and models, including those of mobilizing organizations, individuals to offer medical equipment to localities with a total amount of more than VND187 million; holding “zero” dong market-days with a total value of nearly VND3.7 billion.... In addition, the society also coordinated with provincial Red Cross Association to donate essential necessities to communes, wards and isolation areas for Covid-19 prevent and control with a total value of more than VND 1.9 billion; teamed up with relevant units to organize 11 rounds of voluntary blood donation with 2,210 units of blood given…

In 2022, the city’s Red Cross Society will continue mobilizing all social resources to care for the health and lives of people with difficult circumstances and Agent Orange victims while widely deploying the campaign of "Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address"...

On this occasion, the city’s People's Committee rewarded 26 collectives and 184 individuals with outstanding achievements in the local voluntary blood donation, propaganda and mobilization in 2021.
