Effectiveness from youth cooperative groups on economic development

Update: 21-09-2020 | 10:10:48

One of ways done by Bau Bang district’s Youth Union to support youths in economic development, contributing to the local new-style rural construction is to set up youth cooperative groups on economic development.

According to Nguyen Huynh Nguyen Sy, Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Youth Union, the local youth cooperative groups aim to develop effective economic model while meeting the demand for production development, improving the lives of youths and farmers. The establishment of these models also aims to further encourage the local Youth Union members to bravely get involved in business startup, creating stable incomes for them, helping the locality solve a thorny problem on employment and contributing to diversifying the local agricultural products.

Bau Bang district’s Youth Union has just launched a youth cooperative on economic development

The district is now home to 3 youth cooperative groups, including the milk cows-breeding cooperative group in Tan Hung commune with 3 members, led by Nguyen Hoang Trung, a Youth Union member of Tan Hung commune’s Military Youth Union; the pigs-breeding cooperative group in Long Nguyen commune, headed by Pham Van Phuc, Secretary of Long Nguyen commune’s Youth Union and the cooperative group youth on economic development, led by Phan Ba Hoa, member of Long Nguyen commune’s Youth Union Standing Committee.

There is diversification in terms of agricultural products in each cooperative group, generating regular jobs for the local laborers. The mode of breeding milk cows reaches the monthly income of around VND20million, creating regular jobs for 2 or 3 laborers. The monthly income of the pigs-breeding model is VND150million while the model of breeding chickens achieves the monthly income of VND20million.

Mr.Sy said that over the past years, the district’s Youth Union paid more attention to guide the local youths to tap the local advantages in economic development. The district’s Youth Union also instructed its loan groups to provide youth cooperative groups with loans for better development. In addition, the district’s Youth Union coordinated with relevant units to organize training courses on animal husbandry and cultivation, helping the local youths get more experience in production.

With such significant deeds, it is hoped that the district will have more youth cooperative groups, contributing to the local cause of socio-economic development…
