After 86 years of development, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has affirmed the role and position of youths in the cause of national construction and defence. Youths in Binh Duong over the past time made contributions to the local socio-economic development.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that over the past time, education work by provincial Youth Union was implemented in association with great events of the province and the country, making profound impacts on Youth Union members’ thoughts and actions. The main objectives of the work were to raise Youth Union members’ awareness of politics, consolidate their love for the nation as well as training their moral lifestyle in association with studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morals and lifestyle via forums, conferences and political meetings. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels also excelled at disseminating resolutions of Party congresses at all levels. Through propaganda and education of provincial Youth Unions at all levels, many effective models were discovered and there were outstanding collectives and individuals honored…

In 2016, the province’s Youth Union task and teenagers-children’s movements obtained major results. There were practical and effective programs for each targeted group. For young workers and civil servants, provincial Youth Unions at all levels well realized the “three-responsibility”, “Culture at workplace”, “Improving production” movements…As a result, they registered and implemented nearly 250 works, 65 subjects on scientific research…, bringing benefit of VND1.8billion to the State; promoted the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”…The movement of “Voluntarily solving administrative procedures for people on Saturday” also absorbed the participation of nearly 8,000 Youth Union members.

In addition, Youth Union members in urban areas of the province well realized the movement of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters”; continued promoting the model of “Clean pavement, nice street corner”; organized “Green Sunday” programs and engaged activities in environmental protection. Whilst, Youth Union members in rural areas of the province promoted the movements of “Youths joining hands to build new rural areas”, “Good rural youths in production and business”, “Scientific research, sci-tech application for production innovation”…Accordingly, many youth cooperatives and clubs were maintained and developed. Youth Union members belonging to armed forces and schools also constantly studied and trained to serve the homeland.

Over the past time, youths in the province focused on voluntary activities for the community via the Youth Month and the summer volunteer campaign. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels also paid attention to realizing activities “For the sentimental attachment to border areas and remote islands”, taking care of policy beneficiary, poor families, pupils, students, young workers..., thereby contributing to well doing social welfare. Especially, provincial Youth Unions at all levels last year increased support activities for youths. Programs and models, namely “Dream apartment”, “Club connecting young workers”, “Journey connecting young workers”, “Clean water project”…basically met needs of Youth Union youths and requirements of the society at present.

With the spirit of “The youth will be always there to provide help for those in need”, young people in Binh Duong have upheld the tradition of the elders, closely followed the glorious historical page of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and devoted their talent, ardor to the homeland.
