Provincial leaders congratulate teachers on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

Early November 20, provincial Political School held a get-together to mark Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; leaders and teachers of the school over periods.

At the event, participating teachers shared memories during their working process at the school while assessing the development of the school over the past time. Following elder generations, they will continue being devoted to their teaching and constantly improve their political standpoint and qualification.

Speaking at the event, Mrs.Thuy emphasized that the tasks set for the school in 2020 and the following years are very great, aiming to improve the quality of the province’s human resources. Hence, the school needs to constantly enhance the quality, effectiveness of management in training officials, civil servants at all levels of the province at the local requirements of socio-economic development in the fourth industrial revolution…

*The same day, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and his delegation visited and congratulated teachers at schools, namely Eastern International University, Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong University, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology and Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College.

In the visiting places, Mr.Hung acknowledged and praised achievements done by these schools over the past time while wanting that their teaching staff will constantly improve their professional knowledge at requirements, tasks in the new period.

He also awarded the emulation banner to Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College for its excellent performance in the emulation movements of universities and colleges in the province for the 2018-2019 academic year; presented the title of “excellent labor collective” to 2 collectives. On this occasion, there were 3 collectives and 4 individuals awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee Chairman for their excellent performance in the 2018-2019 academic year; 1 collective and 3 individuals with the certificates of merit for their excellent performance for two consecutive years. Provincial Labor Union also presented the certificates of merit to 2 collectives, 10 individuals for their excellent achievements in the emulation movement of “working well, building a powerful Trade Union”.

*Early November 20, Binh Duong Medical College held a ceremony to open the 2019-2020 new academic year and a get-together on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

At the event, leader of the school read congratulation letters of congratulations from General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the opening occasion of the new academic year. Participating delegates also reviewed the formation and development of the school during the past years.

The school now provides more than 2,000 students with training courses at intermediate, college and university levels. The rate of students with annual graduation is more than 98%. On this occasion, the school commended and rewarded Nguyen Thi Hong Loan who came first in the 2019-2020 entrance examination. Provincial People’s Committee also honored outstanding collectives and individuals for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Also at the event, Rohto Mentholatum Vietnam Company awarded 25 scholarships worth VND50million to the school’s students. Kenji Yamazaki, Director of the company’s Technical Center said that this was one of the company’s annual activities for students herein. It is hoped that these scholarships will be a motivation for them to complete their dream of becoming physicians in order to take care of the community’s health. So far, the company has also set up a charity foundation named “Shining Vietnamese eyes”, aiming to join hands in protecting and taking care of Vietnamese people’s eyes via such practical activities as helping perform cataract surgeries for people with difficult circumstances.
