Smart City’s expert talk: Issues for Research and Higher Education

On the afternoon of April 13, Thu Dau Mot University held a discussion on "Smart City: Issues for Higher Education and Research". Attending were Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Rector of Thu Dau Mot University; leaders of some departments, specialists and students.

At the seminar, experts presented researches on smart city ecology; Innovation Hub – a creative model of smart university; The role of universities in researching and developing smart city. At the same time, experts shared studying results of smart city models of the world, introduced options and roadmap for the construction of a smart city in accordance with conditions of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong province in particular.

Speaking at the seminar, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Rector of Thu Dau Mot University, stressed that the seminar was very important for the training and scientific research of the university. The seminar has received the support and trust of highly qualified scientists from many prestigious national and international academic and educational organizations.

The seminar was a scientific forum, a channel for sharing information and academic knowledge on smart city, contributing to the exchange of information and research collaboration between scientists, scientific and educational institutions and business to be able to propose suitable policies and solutions for the construction of smart city in Vietnam, including Binh Duong, where has a high potentiality and breakthrough opportunities for the construction of smart city.
