Taking care of children’s comprehensive development

Bau Bang district has always paid attention to protecting, taking care of and educating children. Many significant activities for children were organized over the past time, bringing them a safe, healthy and inclusive development environment.

Offering help to needy children

Over the past time, Bau Bang district well mobilized all social resources to take care of poor, orphan and disabled children…The district last year spent more than VND1.8billion on protecting, taking care of children. Of the total figure, more than VND960million was mobilized from organizations, individuals to give gifts and organize practical activities for the local pupils on the International Children’s Day, the mid-autumn festival…

Outstanding individuals in the “Small plan” program for the 2019-2020 academic year honored

Thanks to the attention and support of the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, three siblings Nguyen Dang Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tran and Nguyen Ngoc Bao An with difficult circumstance in Tan Hung commune’s hamlet 5 now get a stable life. The district has just donated VND200million from provincial Child Support Fund to Tran Phuong Linh, born in 2010, in Lai Hung commune’s Cau Sat hamlet for heart surgery. In addition, the district has supported VND10million for Ho Tra An Di, born in 2020, in Lai Hung commune’s Ben Tuong hamlet with hydrocephalus…

Further making child protection, care

Over the past time, many organizations, units and individuals made contributions to provincial Child Support Fund, thereby creating a change in awareness of sectors, authorities at all levels, mass organizations, families and the society about the role of child protection and care…

The district has strengthened healthcare for children. There are now 100% of the local children under 6 granted health insurance cards, 100% of children in the age group of vaccination getting vaccination under the expanded national vaccination program. The district has also attached special importance to child education. Particularly, district-based schools have improved material facilities at the local demand for learning and teaching…

Vo Thanh Giau, Vice-Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that the district will further response to the Action Month for Children 2020 with the theme of “Joining hands to protect children, prevent child abuse” towards a safe, healthy and inclusive development environment for children. The district has also call for the whole society to create favorable conditions for children, especially those with extremely difficult circumstances to show their ideas on issues relating to themselves…

As of early May, 2020, the district has had a total of 19,162 children under 16, including 241 with extremely difficult circumstances and 263 who are in the risk of falling into extremely difficult circumstances.
