Workers' 2018 Tet bonuses increase

After one hard working year, workers are looking forward to Tet bonuses. Therefore, many enterprises not only comply with the regime but also award many other bonuses to express their concern with employees.

At Viet Giai Han Company (Tan Uyen town), this year, bonus level of workers increased about 10% compared with previous years. In 2017, the company’s business developed well and achieved many valuable orders. Employees worked hard, and contributed their labor and wisdom for the company to be stronger and bigger.

With the joy of Tet reward, Vuong Hau Buu, a worker of Frieshland Campina (Thuan An Town) said: "Last year, the company secured stable employment for workers, increased the minimum regional wage and maintained many other benefits such as accommodation, electricity, water allowance for employees. The company also granted a month-13th salary, gifts, and support to disadvantaged, good workers. I am very satisfied with the company's policy. "

In 2017, competent authorities focused on solving difficulties of enterprises in the province, thus business activities obtained high results. Therefore, workers have been well taken cared. According to the statistics of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, on the recent New Year, worker’s rewards were higher than last year.

Particularly, FDI enterprises located in industrial parks rewarded up to VND192 million per person, followed by private enterprises more than VND28 million per person. With this New Year's bonus, workers were motivated. In addition, trade unions also visited, gave gifts to workers having difficult circumstances.

At this time, the working atmosphere at Poong Kooks Saigon 3 Company was very busy. Tran Thi Ha Binh, Human Resources Manager of Poong Kooks Saigon 3 Company, said: "The pace of production lines in recent days has increased 2-3 times for orders; and employees are always aware of their position. This year, the company announced a high Tet bonus from VND3.9 million / person to VND50 million / person (full-time employee of 12 months) in parallel with presenting 3,000 gifts to employees. In addition, the company also organizes art performances, paper fashion competition to serve the whole staff.

Far Eastern Apparent Company has also announced the Lunar New Year 2018 bonus for employees; the highest was VND65 million and the lowest VND4.5 million. In addition, the company also gives 5,000 gifts each worth 250,000 VND to employees.

According to Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, as of 11 Jan 2018, the province had 774 enterprises planning and announcing the reward level on Lunar New Year 2018 for employees. Accordingly, the bonus this year increased compared to last year, corresponding to the average salary increase of employees. Specifically, the average Tet bonus, at all types of enterprises outside industrial parks, economic zones, export processing zones with 100% State-owned capital, is VND4.3 million per person; joint stock company VND10.6 million / person; private enterprise VND5.8 million / person; foreign invested enterprise VND5.9 million / person.

This year, the highest Lunar New Year bonus is from FDI enterprises located outside industrial zones, with the amount of more than VND190 million and the lowest is VND3 million / person. Previously, on New Year, companies also rewarded from VND30,000 to VND192 million per person. Along with bonuses, many companies also plan to give Tet gifts, tickets for workers to return home on Tet holidays; organize many cultural and artistic exchanges to serve workers on occasion of Lunar New Year 2018.
