Dong A Corrugated Iron JSC supports VND200million for Ben Tre to make rural roads

After one month of construction, 48 volunteer students of HCM city Polytechnic University fulfilled and handed over a 570m-long and 3.5m-wide cement road to Vinh Thanh commune’s Tay Loc hamlet in Cho Lach district in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre with a total expense of VND200million, funded by Dong An Corrugated Iron Joint Stock Company (JSC).

At the ceremony, the JSC also awarded 30 scholarships, 4 sets of corrugated iron together with 20 multi rice cookers to the local poor pupils.

This is the 11^th year the JSC has joined hands with volunteer students of the Material Technology Faculty under HCM city Polytechnic University to realize such volunteer activity for the sake of the community. In Ben Tre alone, the JSC supported more than VND2.5billion for the locality to build 6 bridges and 8 roads.

On this occasion, Ben Tre also organized a get-together to mark the 10^th anniversary of the summer youth volunteer campaign, aiming to pay tribute to teachers, students of the university and the JSC.
